Bittersweet News

It’s with a lot of disappointment that we announce the cancellation of the Fall season for both Monday and Wednesday. The plain fact is that there just wasn’t enough total interest to get divisions off the ground either night.

That’s not to say there wasn’t some interest and for those who did reach out and submit rosters, I am especially sorry. I know we all want to get out and play darts and the bars would love the business. I strongly encourage people to get out and safely play even without the formal league.

For those who I have not gotten back to this week, I apologize but this was a very difficult decision and I needed some time to process it. PDL has been a consuming part of my life for 12 years now and the thought of not keeping it going was extremely difficult. I needed a few days to realize and come to grips with the simple fact that not enough teams had registered. I’m gutted, but in the end I also didn’t have the drive to search out teams either.

It’s been a really good run and I can’t say enough about how much the darting community has meant to me, and how many good friends I’ve made. That said all things come to an end and it seems that’s where we are now. One day maybe we will start up again, but until then I wish everyone good luck and I look forward to sharing a beer with you all at some point.

For Wednesday teams, Tom Lynaugh of the Fair Play Dart League has said he may potentially be able to take on some teams if they work geographically. He can be reached on Facebook.
